Welcome to the North Dakota Wing of the Civil Air Patrol. The Civil Air Patrol (CAP) is the official auxiliary to the United States Air Force. CAP is tasked with three main missions: Aerospace Education, Cadet Programs, and Emergency Services. News & Events:

• New Spaatz Cadet!!  C/Col Heidi Klein of Grand Forks Composite Squadron passed her Spaatz Award in June.
   
• New Wing Safety Officer:  SM Dave Hareland has been assigned as the new Wing Safety Officer.
   
• Special Update:  Time is running out to register for the Joint Dakota Cadet Encampment- Apply now to be part of one of the most exciting school's this summer.  Cadets and Officers are needed.
   
• NIMS courses are now required for ES Ratings: Visit the ES page to learn more about NIMS requirements and to begin taking on-line courses from FEMA

• 28 Jun 08- Jamestown Air show and unit Chartering:  The Jamestown Flight  is now the James Valley Composite Squadron (ND031) and is commanded by 1st Lt John Nyberg.  Charter was overseen by Lt Col Dean Reiter, Deputy Wing Commander.  Welcome to the Wing!!
   
• 7 Jun 08:  ND Wing Received a Successful Rating during their Evaluated SAREX from the Air Force- Special Recognition goes to C/Lt Col Heidi Klien (AOBD) who received an Excellent and Lt Col Erik Ludlow (GBD) who received an Outstanding rating.
   
• Wing Conference Award Winners: Squadron and individual awards handed out during wing conference are linked here
   
• Unit Exercises are now being funded by Wing:  Each unit can spend $100 for Ground Teams and $250 for Air Crews* per month.  You need to submit a training plan to Maj Kay prior to using the funding. *only units with aircraft assigned during the month are eligible to spend this funding.
